Lisa Su rang the opening bell for NASDAQ in New York. AMD then hosted a Q & A with analysts at 1 pm EST, as part of their 50th anniversary celebration. This turned out to be ordinary, nothing new was said.

She presented her points well, as she has gotten ever more comfortable with such gigs. The emphasis is still for H2 2019. Given her track record of delivering her guidance, or even beating her conservative projections in the last two years, analysts had lined up to increase their PT.

However, after the Fed meeting which left the rate untouched, the market took a dump. AMD, being the volatile high beta stock that it is, went down big to 26.81. This was undeserved, especially after such a nice guide for the rest of year. This is yet another example of why I like to make money using AMD options while the share price fluctuates.
