5/15/19 Epyc in Chinese Exascale Supercomputer AMD 27.32 to 27.58
The annual meeting this morning did not yield any surprises. Lisa Su stated Ryzen 3, Rome and Navi all due in Q3. While people may be disappointed with that time frame, wishing the launch to be sooner, but with Q2 only half over, AMD likely does not want to ruin sales through end of June.… Continue reading 5/15/19 Epyc in Chinese Exascale Supercomputer AMD 27.32 to 27.58

5/13/19 Xi Jinping the Go (围棋) Player AMD 27.96 to 26.24
China responds to US higher tariffs by imposing her own tariffs. Market down big, Intel, AMD, Nvidia all down. AMD is down around 10% off its peak this year, or 29 on 4/4/19. Intel is down 24% off its peak of 59 around mid-April. The 59 was rather undeserved, by the way. Nvidia is down… Continue reading 5/13/19 Xi Jinping the Go (围棋) Player AMD 27.96 to 26.24
5/10/19 Trade War With China AMD 27.21 to 27.96
Trade talk with China did not yield any agreement today. Higher tariff had gone into effect past midnight. Market down, Intel down and Nvidia down as well. AMD went up significantly. This is a very nice dissociation from Intel/Nvidia. Perhaps it is finally sinking in that AMD is eating Intel's lunch for the next few… Continue reading 5/10/19 Trade War With China AMD 27.21 to 27.96
5/9/19 Intel Road map Underwhelming AMD 27.09 to 27.21
http://intelstudios.edgesuite.net/im/2019/start_a.html It's getting hard for me to keep track of all the Intel Lakes. Suffice to say, Intel's road map was greeted with a giant yawn at Reddit and Twitter alike. The growth rate Intel is promising is also quite lame. Of course Bob Swan being the new CEO might as well set the bar… Continue reading 5/9/19 Intel Road map Underwhelming AMD 27.09 to 27.21

More importantly, AMD is also getting into corporate/business notebooks with the 2nd gen Ryzen Pro CPUs. This is a very important segment for volume and profitability. Lisa Su did mention that AMD has many design wins in the notebook segment in 2019, a big increase over 2018.
